What this solves
In
indent_with,char_indexis only assigned inside the unedited-chunk branch (tochunk.start()on entry andchunk.end()on exit). For an edited chunk the exclude testexclude_set.contains(char_index)reused whatever offset was left over from a previously processed chunk instead of the edited chunk's own start. When two edited chunks are adjacent, or the chunk list was reordered byrelocate, that stale offset no longer equals the edited chunk's start, so the wrong source position is tested against the exclude ranges and the chunk gets indented (or skipped) incorrectly. The reference magic-string usesisExcluded[chunk.start]for edited chunks. Exclude ranges are reachable from JS viaindentExclusionRanges.The fix
Read the chunk's own start and test that against the exclude set in the edited branch. Since the edited branch no longer reads the loop-carried
char_index, it becomes local to the unedited branch, and the now-deadchar_index = chunk_endwrite (and the otherwise unusedchunk_end) are removed. Also corrected theIndentOptions::excludedoc comment: it claimed a closed interval, but the implementation (like magic-string, which fillsisExcludedwithfor (i = start; i < end; i++)) uses a half-open[start, end)range.Tests
Added
excludes_edited_chunks_by_their_own_start: two adjacent edited chunks where only the first is excluded, asserting the second is still indented. It fails on the old code (the second chunk reuses the first chunk's offset and is wrongly excluded) and passes with the fix.
