We need to update the Explorer panel design to allow for multiple (or zero?) projects.

As part of this design, I think we should change the new/close icons next to the project name as well. As currently designed, the close button in particular looks like it should minimize the sidebar, not close the project. Closing a project is an unusual operation and should not be so easy to do accidentally!
