Remote storage, particularly remote write, has a lot of metrics as it has grown organically. Some metrics have names or help text that aren't necessarily still accurate, and we have many metrics that are repeated per data type (sample, exemplar, metadata). We should do an audit of the metrics in remote storage and decide which, if any, should change before declaring remote storage stable.
