Your problem

Prisma wants me to keep another config file in the project root. Sure, that's what most tools do nowadays, but there's a much better way (IMO) - the proposed standard of keeping configs in the .config directory

Suggested solution

Prisma is a popular project, and if you implement this now, when it's easiest to do, I think this solution will spread much more widely

Alternative solutions

Already quite a few projects (Nuxt being the best known) support loading their configuration from the .config directory
