The latest code won't detect newer Java installations and there are old issues logged that seem to be relevant for this problem. The latest commit happened just under 4 years ago.

Is this project abandoned? I notice there are 64 forks. Is one of them the effective maintainer? If so, which one? Are they building and deploying the built distribution?
