Just as mentioned in #4 are we looking for ideas from you (the commnunity) for possible project names. Please make one reply per suggested name below this post. You may also add additional context (i.e. what gave you this idea) if you want. Just keep in mind that while we're open for ideas, we cannot guarantee that we accept every name as a possible choice, especially if it is something immature or insulting. We can't wait to see your suggestions! |

My own suggestion: PyMDocs It's simply a combination of key parts of MkDocs: |
PMDocs - Passive Markdown Documents/Documentation Simple and similar |
I'm thinking MontyDocs. The name sounds slightly original. Mentions Monty Python - which is only a subtle mention that it's related to Python. |
How about PAMDocs? "PamDocs Ain't Mkdocs." It's a stretch haha. |
CoreDocs or BaseDocs - Both are a nod to the fact that this will preserve the foundation of MkDocs. |
Here are a few name ideas I thought of: 1. PyMark – Short, clean, references Python and Markdown. Highlights the core tech and feels familiar to MkDocs users. 2. PyDocsPlus – Emphasizes Python and Markdown docs, with a sense of “next level” or improvement. Suggests this fork continues and enhances MkDocs. 3. PyMarkDocs – Combines Python + Markdown + Docs; descriptive but still catchy. Clear and easy to remember, signaling continuity with MkDocs. |
These names might work, too. |

Some more suggestions that are available on PyPI in addition to my previous ones:
BuildDocs – better than MakeDocs! free on pypi + GH |
Given oprypin has MontyDocs already prepared, my question to everyone here is, what in your opinion makes it good or especially NOT good to use here. (For the record, as was stated by oprypin is the name not necessarely final and he's open for a different one if it's good. Tho, there's obviously a little bias on him too). |
PyPI available:
SunnyDocs 🤷 |
MakeDocs: free on PyPI https://pypi.org/project/makedocs/ |

How about “Lumo Docs”? It doesn’t have any literal meaning, but it might still be a good fit. |

Welcome back under a new name ProperDocs!
Thank you @EddyLuten
