Describe the bug
When choosing to render <a> tags with underlines, the presence of a whitespace inside the ORCID logo makes it appear as if there was an underscore next to it. The whitespace character is part of the theme and thus it is difficult to hide from CSS alone.

Whitespace should be outside of the <a> tag to avoid rendering the underline styling on whitespace alone
