While CoverageJSON is an open source format, the adoption by OGC of CoverageJSON as an OGC Community Standard requires voting membership in the OGC Technical Committee as either Technical/Catalyst, Principal or Strategic Member.
Otherwise, development of CoverageJSON is being conducted as an open process, through contributing to GitHub Issues and their resolution.

- Ensure you are "watching" this repository.
Informal community meetings have started in 2025 to discuss and plan development of CoverageJSON. These were held using IBM Teams but now use OGC's Agora platform which usually re-directs to a Teams session for non-Members.
