What

When Feishu's dynamicAgentCreation writes a new binding via runtime.config.replaceConfigFile(), the in-memory cfg object passed to the handler is NOT updated. Subsequent messages reuse the stale cfg, so new bindings are invisible to resolveAgentRoute. The route matches as "default" every time, and maybeCreateDynamicAgent returns { created: false } without providing the updated config.

This PR adds two checks:

  1. In maybeCreateDynamicAgent: after checking the in-memory cfg, also check runtime.config.current() (the runtime's in-memory snapshot which may have hot-reloaded after a config write). Return the runtime's current config when the binding is found there but not in the stale cfg.
  2. In handleFeishuMessage: when result.updatedCfg differs from the input cfg, re-resolve the route with the updated config so the existing binding is picked up.

Why

Fixes #42837. The dynamicAgentCreation feature creates agent bindings for new Feishu users, but after the first message creates the binding, all subsequent messages still route to the default agent because the in-memory config is stale.

Real behavior proof

  • Behavior addressed: Feishu dynamicAgentCreation re-routing when binding already exists in runtime config

  • Environment tested: macOS 26.4.1, Node v24.4.0, openclaw main @ 274b7b1

  • Steps run after the patch:

    1. Cherry-picked fix onto fresh upstream/main
    2. Verified runtime.config.current() check exists in dynamic-agent.ts
    3. Verified updatedCfg !== cfg re-resolve logic exists in bot.ts
    4. Ran dynamic-agent tests — 4 passed
    5. Ran full build — passed
  • Evidence after fix:

  • Observed result after fix: The runtime config snapshot is checked when in-memory cfg is stale. Route is re-resolved with updated config when binding exists in runtime but not in stale cfg. All 4 dynamic-agent tests pass, build succeeds.
  • What was not tested: Live Feishu message flow (requires Feishu bot token and real user interaction). The fix is verified through code inspection and unit tests covering the maybeCreateDynamicAgent function.

subsequent messages to still route to agent:main.

Fix: check runtime.config.current() for the binding when it is missing
from the in-memory cfg. When found, return the runtime's current config
so the caller can re-resolve the route with up-to-date bindings.

Maintainer repair and pre-land proof complete. Land-ready.

Canonical repair applied on the contributor branch:

  • route bot and comment traffic against refreshed runtime config and reauthorize current direct routes before dispatch
  • serialize dynamic-agent config mutations and recheck current authorization, write policy, max-agent cap, and complete account/channel/wildcard routes inside the lock
  • scope bindings and generated agent identities by Feishu account while preserving the default-account ID contract
  • document the safe manual legacy-state upgrade path; automatic migration would guess account ownership and can violate the global cap

Verification on final pushed SHA 96162c6f04fbb9865ab28b708707747aa5985205:

The first CI run exposed one test lint error and one test-type error; both were fixed on the contributor branch and confirmed green in the final CI run. The only non-green check is a cancelled ClawSweeper dispatch job, which is routine dispatch noise rather than code validation.

The separate maintainer Testbox changed-gate attempt was blocked by expired Azure CLI authentication (AADSTS50132); final GitHub CI supplied the broad green validation instead.

Thank you for the thorough repair and the detailed walkthrough! The account-scoped binding approach, serialized config mutations, and refreshed config handling across both DM and comment flows are exactly what was needed. Great to see 103 tests passing clean.

The collapsed sidebar session picker was covered by the chat content
area when the workspace rail was visible at wider viewports. Two
issues caused this:

1. .sidebar-session-select--collapsed .chat-session-picker used
   var(--z-dropdown) which was never defined, creating an invalid
   z-index declaration (falls back to auto).

2. .shell-nav and .content--chat are grid siblings with equal
   z-index (auto), and .content--chat (later DOM) paints above
   .shell-nav, covering the session picker that extends from the
   nav column into the content column.

Fix: add position:relative + z-index:10 to .shell-nav so it stacks
above .content--chat; change overflow from hidden to visible so
the session picker extends beyond the nav rail; replace undefined
var(--z-dropdown) with z-index:100.

so both endpoints stay in sync, and revert the responses guard back to the
original `!prompt.message` check (responses images are not scoped to the
active turn, so the placeholder is the correct, single source of truth).

Fix: check runtime.config.current() for the binding when it is missing
from the in-memory cfg. When found, return the runtime's current config
so the caller can re-resolve the route with up-to-date bindings.

Recover invalid Anthropic thinking replays when provider details survive genericization in SDK, failover, cause-chain, or terminal stream error fields.

The recovery matcher now uses cycle-safe named error carriers, avoids scanning assistant content and tool arguments, and retains one retry per provider call. Focused regressions cover each carrier, cyclic causes, terminal errors, and false-positive payload text.

Addresses the recovery path in #92201. The separate root cause that creates or persists invalid signatures remains open for investigation.

Two core bugs caused composed replies to be silently dropped (no delivery,
no error) when a second message arrived in the same thread mid-run:

1. dispatch-from-config: ensureDispatchReplyOperation only kept the
   dispatch-owned operation authoritative while it had no result. Once
   runReplyAgent completed the operation to drain queued follow-ups, a
   second same-thread inbound could claim the session and the first final
   reply would try to re-acquire the lane instead of finishing delivery,
   deadlocking behind the queued work. Keep the dispatch-owned operation
   authoritative through final delivery.

2. reply-payloads-dedupe: messaging-tool reply dedupe compared only the
   channel target, not the routed thread, so a send in one thread could
   suppress a later reply in a different thread. Thread the routed thread
   id through buildReplyPayloads + follow-up delivery and only fall back to
   channel-only matching for providers without a thread-aware suppression
   matcher when neither side carries thread evidence.

Adds regression tests; existing Telegram topic-suppression behavior is
preserved by gating the thread guard to providers lacking a plugin matcher.

to the config file (e.g. from a prior message), the in-memory cfg may be
stale and not contain the binding. Previously, maybeCreateDynamicAgent
returned { created: false, updatedCfg: cfg } with the stale cfg, and
bot.ts only re-resolved the route when created === true. This caused
subsequent messages to still route to agent:main.

Fix: check runtime.config.current() for the binding when it is missing
from the in-memory cfg. When found, return the runtime's current config
so the caller can re-resolve the route with up-to-date bindings.
