Summary

  • Rebased over Run Vitest and Playwright scenarios from qa suite #92606 and Simplify QA scorecard mapping shape #92558, keeping native Vitest/Playwright QA evidence and the simplified taxonomy mapping shape intact.
  • Fold Telegram package RTT measurement into the normal Telegram live QA lane instead of maintaining a separate pnpm rtt command and Telegram-only RTT Docker driver.
  • Emit repeated RTT timing through qa-evidence.json under result.timing for telegram-mentioned-message-reply, including avg/p50/p95/max/sample/failure counts, while clearing stale one-off rttMs when no repeated RTT checks pass.
  • Use first-class package Telegram RTT controls: OPENCLAW_NPM_TELEGRAM_RTT_SAMPLES, OPENCLAW_NPM_TELEGRAM_RTT_TIMEOUT_MS, OPENCLAW_NPM_TELEGRAM_RTT_MAX_FAILURES, and OPENCLAW_NPM_TELEGRAM_RTT_CHECKS.
  • Keep focused non-RTT scenario runs from forcing the default RTT check, pass injected env through Convex credential leasing, and make RTT-specific timeout authoritative for repeated RTT checks.
  • Stop writing the duplicate Telegram observed-message sidecar from the live Telegram lane; mantis keeps a narrow legacy fallback for older artifact directories that still contain it, docs point to the current report/evidence artifacts, and Telegram workflows no longer set the removed capture env.

  • .agents/skills/autoreview/scripts/autoreview --mode branch --base origin/main --prompt "..." clean after rebase; legacy OPENCLAW_NPM_TELEGRAM_WARM/SAMPLE/MAX_FAILURES aliases intentionally out of scope per requested no-legacy end state and paired openclaw-rtt#15 update.

pnpm check:workflows was attempted but blocked before repository checks by the local pre-commit/zizmor environment: zizmor==1.22.0 requires Python >=3.10, while the local pre-commit Python environment can only resolve up to zizmor 1.16.3. The direct YAML parse, composite interpolation check, no-conflict-marker check, and workflow guard tests above passed.

Real behavior proof

Behavior addressed: Telegram package RTT measurement now runs through the standard package Telegram live QA lane and writes timing into qa-evidence.json instead of a separate RTT command/output shape.

Real environment tested: Local OpenClaw Codex worktree on macOS, using focused unit/schema/script tests plus extension typecheck, docs, formatting, workflow sanity fallbacks, whitespace checks, and autoreview.

Exact steps or command run after this patch: Rebasing was completed over #92606 and #92558; ran focused evidence, scenario catalog/native test-file runner, Telegram live runtime, package Telegram live script, and mantis legacy import tests; ran extension typecheck; ran docs list, formatter check, whitespace check, workflow guard fallbacks, and final autoreview.

Evidence after fix: Focused Vitest passed 6 files / 100 tests across QA evidence/scenario runner/Telegram/package/mantis coverage; pnpm tsgo:extensions, pnpm docs:list, focused oxfmt --check, git diff --check, workflow guard fallbacks, and final autoreview passed.

Observed result after fix: Package Telegram RTT controls flow through package Telegram live, repeated RTT checks are summarized as evidence timing, focused non-RTT runs skip default RTT, and new Telegram live output no longer writes a duplicate observed-message sidecar. Legacy mantis import still tolerates older artifact directories that contain telegram-qa-observed-messages.json.

What was not tested: No live Telegram/Convex/Docker lane was executed in this local pass.

Codex review: needs maintainer review before merge. Reviewed June 14, 2026, 4:31 AM ET / 08:31 UTC.

Summary
The PR removes the standalone root RTT harness and folds packaged Telegram RTT sampling into the qa-lab Telegram live QA lane, emitting aggregate timing in qa-evidence.json and updating Mantis, docs, workflows, and tests.

PR surface: Source +166, Tests -1366, Docs +7, Config -5, Other -2257. Total -3455 across 29 files.

Reproducibility: not applicable. as a bug reproduction: this is a QA automation migration. Current main and v2026.6.6 do confirm the shipped pnpm rtt surface that the PR intentionally removes.

Review metrics: 2 noteworthy metrics.

  • RTT command surface: 1 shipped root package script removed. pnpm rtt exists in v2026.6.6, so deleting it is a compatibility-sensitive operator change.
  • RTT env controls: 4 added, 3 retired. The PR introduces OPENCLAW_NPM_TELEGRAM_RTT_* controls and retires the old warm/sample/max-failure names, so docs, importer readiness, and upgrade expectations need review.

Stored data model
Persistent data-model change detected: database schema: test/scripts/rtt-harness.test.ts, serialized state: scripts/e2e/npm-telegram-rtt-config.mjs, vector/embedding metadata: scripts/mantis/build-telegram-evidence.mjs. Confirm migration or upgrade compatibility proof before merge.

Merge readiness
Overall: 🦐 gold shrimp
Proof: 🌊 off-meta tidepool
Patch quality: 🦐 gold shrimp
Result: ready for maintainer review.

Overall follows the weaker of proof and patch quality, so missing proof can cap an otherwise strong patch.

Rank-up moves:

Mantis proof suggestion
A live Telegram QA proof would exercise Convex leasing, Bot API RTT sampling, qa-evidence timing, and the Mantis artifact path changed by this PR. A maintainer can ask Mantis to capture proof by posting a new PR comment that starts with the OpenClaw Mantis account mention, followed by:

telegram live: verify package Telegram RTT samples run through the live QA lane, qa-evidence.json includes result.timing, and Mantis evidence does not require telegram-qa-observed-messages.json.

Risk before merge

  • [P1] Merging removes the shipped root pnpm rtt command and replaces the old RTT env/artifact shape; the author states this is an intentional no-legacy migration, but operator and importer coordination still matters.
  • [P1] The paired Import Telegram QA evidence RTT rows openclaw-rtt#15 importer update is still open, so downstream RTT ingestion has not landed with the new qa-evidence-only shape.
  • [P1] The changed live Telegram/Mantis evidence path has focused tests and green CI, but the PR body says no live Telegram, Convex, or Docker lane was run after the patch.

Maintainer options:

  1. Coordinate importer and live proof before merge (recommended)
Run or attach Telegram live/Mantis proof and coordinate the openclaw-rtt importer path while keeping the intentional no-legacy RTT command decision documented.
  2. Accept the breaking RTT surface migration
Maintainers may intentionally remove pnpm rtt and the old artifact/env shape if they own the operator migration and downstream timing.
  3. Pause if downstream ingestion is not ready
Hold this PR if the external importer cannot land or validate against the new qa-evidence timing shape before OpenClaw ships the removal.

Next step before merge

  • [P2] Needs maintainer coordination for the intentional shipped command removal, live Telegram/Mantis proof, and paired importer timing; no narrow automated repair remains after the mechanical fixes.

Security
Cleared: The diff changes workflows and scripts but adds no dependencies, new action refs, downloaded code execution, or broader secret exposure; it removes Telegram content-capture env use from workflows.

Review details

Best possible solution:

Land the consolidated qa-evidence RTT path only with coordinated openclaw-rtt importer readiness and live Telegram/Mantis proof, or explicitly accept the shipped pnpm rtt removal in operator-facing release notes.

Do we have a high-confidence way to reproduce the issue?

Not applicable as a bug reproduction: this is a QA automation migration. Current main and v2026.6.6 do confirm the shipped pnpm rtt surface that the PR intentionally removes.

Is this the best way to solve the issue?

Yes as an internal cleanup direction, with upgrade caveats. Folding RTT timing into qa-evidence.json is the cleaner single evidence path, but the shipped command removal and downstream importer timing need explicit maintainer coordination.

What I checked:

  • Repository policy read: Root and scoped docs/extensions/scripts/test AGENTS files were read; compatibility-sensitive operator surfaces and Telegram proof guidance affected the review. (AGENTS.md:28, b1caba590631)
  • Telegram maintainer notes read: Telegram review notes require real Telegram proof for transport-touching behavior, which applies as merge-risk context for the changed live QA/Mantis path. (.agents/maintainer-notes/telegram.md:37, b1caba590631)
  • Current release ships the old RTT command: Release v2026.6.6 contains the root rtt script and standalone scripts/rtt.ts harness, so removing it is a shipped operator-surface change. (package.json:1669, 8c802aa68351)
  • PR head removes the root RTT script: At PR head, package.json moves from release:prep to runtime-sidecars without the rtt script entry. (package.json:1669, 7a62af737f96)
  • RTT controls flow through package Telegram live: The package Telegram runner parses RTT env controls, defaults normal runs to 20 samples, and passes the options into runTelegramQaLive. (scripts/e2e/npm-telegram-live-runner.ts:45, 7a62af737f96)
  • Live Telegram lane writes aggregate RTT evidence: The PR head runs repeated RTT checks for selected scenarios, stores timing on the scenario result, and writes qa-evidence.json without the old observed-message sidecar. (extensions/qa-lab/src/live-transports/telegram/telegram-live.runtime.ts:2067, 7a62af737f96)

What the crustacean ranks mean
  • 🦀 challenger crab: rare, exceptional readiness with strong proof, clean implementation, and convincing validation.
  • 🦞 diamond lobster: very strong readiness with only minor maintainer review expected.
  • 🐚 platinum hermit: good normal PR, likely mergeable with ordinary maintainer review.
  • 🦐 gold shrimp: useful signal, but proof or patch confidence is still limited.
  • 🦪 silver shellfish: thin signal; proof, validation, or implementation needs work.
  • 🧂 unranked krab: not merge-ready because proof is missing/unusable or there are serious correctness or safety concerns.
  • 🌊 off-meta tidepool: rating does not apply to this item.

Shiny media proof means a screenshot, video, or linked artifact directly shows the changed behavior. Runtime, network, CSP, and security claims still need visible diagnostics.

@clawsweeper re-review

Maintainer decision: this PR intentionally migrates packaged Telegram RTT into the qa-lab live Telegram evidence path and does not preserve the old root pnpm rtt compatibility wrapper. Mechanical findings addressed on the latest head: the unused catch binding is removed, and OPENCLAW_NPM_TELEGRAM_RTT_CHECKS is documented with the other packaged Telegram RTT controls.

* fix(ui): restore sidebar session picker interactivity above desktop workbench (#92705)

* fix(ui): restore sidebar session picker interactivity above desktop workbench

The collapsed sidebar session picker was covered by the chat content
area when the workspace rail was visible at wider viewports. Two
issues caused this:

1. .sidebar-session-select--collapsed .chat-session-picker used
var(--z-dropdown) which was never defined, creating an invalid
z-index declaration (falls back to auto).

2. .shell-nav and .content--chat are grid siblings with equal
z-index (auto), and .content--chat (later DOM) paints above
.shell-nav, covering the session picker that extends from the
nav column into the content column.

Fix: add position:relative + z-index:10 to .shell-nav so it stacks
above .content--chat; change overflow from hidden to visible so
the session picker extends beyond the nav rail; replace undefined
var(--z-dropdown) with z-index:100.

* fix(ui): keep sidebar picker z-index tokenized

Derive the channel from canonical account-scoped DM session keys when resolving session.sendPolicy, so channel-scoped allow/deny rules apply to per-account-channel-peer sessions.

* fix(gateway): forward image-only input on /v1/responses (parity with chat completions) (#92488)

* fix(gateway): accept image-only input on /v1/responses

The OpenResponses endpoint rejected requests whose `input` contained only
an `input_image` (no `input_text`) with `400 Missing user message in
input.`, even though the image was parsed and collected into `images`.
The guard only checked `prompt.message` and ignored `images`, unlike the
equivalent /v1/chat/completions guard which uses
`!prompt.message && images.length === 0`.

Align the OpenResponses guard with Chat Completions so image-only turns
are forwarded to the agent. Empty input (no text and no image) still
returns 400.

Adds regression tests: image-only base64 input -> 200 with image reaching
the agent, and empty content -> 400.

Co-authored-by: Cursor <[email protected]>

* fix(gateway): pass image-only /v1/responses turns to the agent

The one-line guard alone was insufficient: even after letting image-only
input past the `Missing user message` check, the downstream agent command
(`prepareAgentCommandExecution`) throws `Message (--message) is required`
for an empty message, so image-only `/v1/responses` returned 500.

Mirror the /v1/chat/completions prompt builder: substitute the shared
IMAGE_ONLY_USER_MESSAGE placeholder for the active image-only user turn so
the turn is not dropped and the real image is still attached via `images`.
Promote the placeholder constant to the shared gateway agent-prompt module
so both endpoints stay in sync, and revert the responses guard back to the
original `!prompt.message` check (responses images are not scoped to the
active turn, so the placeholder is the correct, single source of truth).

* fix(macos): defer isOverflowing mutation to break SwiftUI render loop

measuredHeight() mutated model.isOverflowing synchronously during a SwiftUI
view update cycle. The onChange(of: attributed) handler triggered
updateWindowFrame → targetFrame → measuredHeight, which set isOverflowing,
invalidating the view and re-triggering onChange — an infinite render loop
causing 100% CPU pinwheel.

Fix: defer the isOverflowing mutation via DispatchQueue.main.async with an
equality guard to prevent redundant updates. The frame calculation itself
remains synchronous so the window size is correct immediately.

* fix(status): render sub-1000 token counts as plain integers

formatKTokens always divided by 1000 and appended "k", so token counts
below 1000 rendered as misleading fractional k in `openclaw status`
output (e.g. 999 rounded up across the boundary to "1.0k", 420 -> "0.4k",
a 300-token cache write -> "write 0.3k").

Guard value < 1000 to render the plain rounded integer, matching the
canonical formatTokenCount convention (src/utils/usage-format.ts). The
>=1000 "k" behavior is unchanged. Adds focused regression tests for the

Surface missing bare Lobster workflow file paths instead of silently falling through to inline pipeline parsing.

The runner now treats plain workflow file inputs as file paths, keeps inline commands with file-like arguments as pipelines, and preserves existing workflow file paths that contain spaces. Regression coverage covers missing bare workflow paths, inline false positives, and spaced workflow filenames.

Fixes #68101.

Based on and credits #68106 by @vvitovec. This replacement branch carries the focused fix forward because #68106 is dirty against current main and could not be repaired on the fork branch with available bot permissions.

* fix(feishu): re-resolve route when dynamic agent binding already exists in runtime config (fixes #42837) (#92814)

* fix(feishu): re-resolve route when dynamic agent binding already exists in runtime config

When dynamicAgentCreation is enabled and a binding was previously written
to the config file (e.g. from a prior message), the in-memory cfg may be
stale and not contain the binding. Previously, maybeCreateDynamicAgent
returned { created: false, updatedCfg: cfg } with the stale cfg, and
bot.ts only re-resolved the route when created === true. This caused
subsequent messages to still route to agent:main.

Fix: check runtime.config.current() for the binding when it is missing
from the in-memory cfg. When found, return the runtime's current config
so the caller can re-resolve the route with up-to-date bindings.

* fix(agents): clamp subagent spawn thinking overrides

Fixes #92412.

Subagent spawns that request an unsupported explicit thinking level now clamp through the existing provider/model thinking fallback instead of hard-failing after the orchestrator has already received an accepted ack. The exception is limited to trusted subagent spawn runs by requiring both the subagent lane and a subagent-shaped session key, so interactive and non-subagent explicit `--thinking` validation still fails loudly.

* fix(gateway): degrade config watcher to polling

When native filesystem watching exhausts its retry budget, the gateway config reloader now falls back to polling instead of disabling hot reload for the rest of the process. The watcher state tracks the effective Chokidar polling mode, including CHOKIDAR_USEPOLLING overrides, so forced polling avoids a redundant native phase and forced native mode reports an accurate native-mode disable.

* fix(agents): recover genericized Anthropic thinking errors (#92916)

Recover invalid Anthropic thinking replays when provider details survive genericization in SDK, failover, cause-chain, or terminal stream error fields.

Addresses the recovery path in #92201. The separate root cause that creates or persists invalid signatures remains open for investigation.

* fix(reply): deliver final reply when queued follow-up claims session; scope dedupe to routed thread (#90943)

* fix(reply): deliver final reply when queued follow-up claims session; scope dedupe to routed thread

Two core bugs caused composed replies to be silently dropped (no delivery,
no error) when a second message arrived in the same thread mid-run:

1. dispatch-from-config: ensureDispatchReplyOperation only kept the
dispatch-owned operation authoritative while it had no result. Once
runReplyAgent completed the operation to drain queued follow-ups, a
second same-thread inbound could claim the session and the first final
reply would try to re-acquire the lane instead of finishing delivery,
deadlocking behind the queued work. Keep the dispatch-owned operation
   authoritative through final delivery.

2. reply-payloads-dedupe: messaging-tool reply dedupe compared only the
channel target, not the routed thread, so a send in one thread could
suppress a later reply in a different thread. Thread the routed thread
id through buildReplyPayloads + follow-up delivery and only fall back to
channel-only matching for providers without a thread-aware suppression
matcher when neither side carries thread evidence.

Adds regression tests; existing Telegram topic-suppression behavior is
preserved by gating the thread guard to providers lacking a plugin matcher.
