Summary

The needsBrewPrompt guard in src/commands/onboard-skills.ts used:

process.platform !== "win32"

This incorrectly shows the Homebrew install suggestion on FreeBSD (and any other non-Windows unix that isn't macOS or Linux), where Homebrew is not supported.

Change

Tighten the check to an explicit allowlist of the two platforms Homebrew officially supports:

On macOS/Linux with no brew binary: wizard still shows Homebrew prompt

PR #68941 is a valid one-line fix for the FreeBSD Homebrew prompt bug, but it is duplicate/superseded by the canonical bug #68893 and other open PRs that cover the same platform allowlist with FreeBSD regression tests. Current main still has the bug, so the best cleanup is to close this source-only duplicate and consolidate review on #68893 plus one tested implementation such as #68943 or #69002.

Best possible solution:

Close #68941 as duplicate/superseded cleanup. Keep #68893 as the canonical bug and consolidate maintainer review on one tested implementation, preferably an open PR that changes src/commands/onboard-skills.ts to allow Homebrew prompts only on darwin/linux and adds a FreeBSD regression test in src/commands/onboard-skills.test.ts.
