Summary

  • Wire onReasoningStream and onReasoningEnd callbacks into the Feishu reply dispatcher, matching the pattern already used by the Telegram channel
  • When reasoning level is set to stream (/reasoning stream), thinking tokens are rendered as markdown blockquotes in the same streaming card with a --- separator before the answer
  • Fully backward compatible — no behavior change when reasoning is off (the default)

Problem

The Feishu streaming card plugin only subscribes to onPartialReply, so reasoning content from models that support it (via reasoning_content in OpenAI-compatible SSE, converted to thinking_delta events by pi-ai) is silently dropped. The Telegram channel already supports reasoning streaming via onReasoningStream with a dedicated "reasoning lane", but Feishu has no equivalent.

When users enable /reasoning stream, the streaming card stays at "⏳ Thinking..." during the (often lengthy) reasoning phase with no visibility into model activity.

Solution

Add reasoning stream support to extensions/feishu/src/reply-dispatcher.ts:

  • onReasoningStream callback — receives incremental reasoning text, formats it as markdown blockquotes (> 💭 **Thinking**), and updates the streaming card in real-time
  • onReasoningEnd callback — marks reasoning phase complete
  • Combined renderingbuildCombinedStreamText() composes reasoning blockquote + --- separator + answer text into a single card update, so both phases are visible in one card
  • flushStreamingCardUpdate() — extracted helper to avoid duplicating the partialUpdateQueue logic between answer and reasoning update paths

Model API → delta.reasoning_content
  → pi-ai openai-completions (converts to thinking_delta events)
  → OpenClaw core agent (streamReasoning=true → calls onReasoningStream)
  → Feishu reply-dispatcher (NEW: queueReasoningUpdate → streaming card)

Files changed

  • extensions/feishu/src/reply-dispatcher.ts — add reasoning stream callbacks and combined rendering logic
  • extensions/feishu/src/reply-dispatcher.test.ts — add 6 test cases covering reasoning stream behavior
  • CHANGELOG.md — add feature entry under Unreleased

Tests

Six new test cases added to reply-dispatcher.test.ts:

All 28 tests pass (27 existing + 1 new multi-assertion test split into 6 logical tests).

Backward compatibility

Fully backward compatible:

  • Default reasoning level is off — no onReasoningStream events fire, zero change in behavior
  • When onReasoningStream callback exists but reasoningMode !== "stream", the core agent does not call it
  • No new dependencies or config options required

Test plan

  • Add unit tests for reasoning stream callbacks (6 new test cases)
  • Update CHANGELOG.md with feature entry
  • Verify default behavior unchanged (reasoning off): streaming card shows answer only, no blockquotes
  • Enable /reasoning stream in Feishu chat, confirm thinking tokens appear as > 💭 **Thinking** blockquotes in the streaming card
  • Verify --- separator appears between reasoning and answer
  • Verify final card close includes both reasoning and answer text
  • Verify non-streaming fallback (raw/auto mode without card) still works
  • Verify thread reply mode still disables streaming (existing behavior preserved)

Wire `onReasoningStream` and `onReasoningEnd` callbacks into the Feishu
reply dispatcher, matching the pattern already used by the Telegram
channel.

When the session reasoning level is set to "stream" (`/reasoning stream`),
thinking tokens are rendered as markdown blockquotes (`> 💭 **Thinking**`)
in the same streaming card. A horizontal rule separator (`---`) divides
reasoning from the answer once regular content begins.

Changes:
- Add `reasoningText` / `reasoningEnded` state alongside existing
  `streamText` / `lastPartial`
- Add `formatReasoningPrefix()` and `buildCombinedStreamText()` helpers
  to compose reasoning + answer into a single card update
- Extract `flushStreamingCardUpdate()` to avoid duplicating the
  partialUpdateQueue logic between answer and reasoning paths
- Provide `onReasoningStream` callback that calls `startStreaming()` and
  feeds reasoning text into the card
- Provide `onReasoningEnd` callback to mark reasoning phase complete
- Update `closeStreaming()` to include reasoning in the final card text
  and reset reasoning state
- Update final delivery to track the combined (reasoning + answer) text
  for duplicate detection

Fully backward compatible — reasoning display only activates when the
session has reasoning level "stream" enabled. Default behavior unchanged.

  • Dead codereasoningEnded is set to true in onReasoningEnd and reset in closeStreaming but is never read. If the intent was to freeze the reasoning blockquote once the answer starts streaming, the flag needs to gate updates in queueReasoningUpdate.

- Fix deduplication regression: store raw payload text in
  deliveredFinalTexts instead of the combined reasoning+answer string,
  so the duplicate-final guard at deliver() correctly matches
- Strip formatReasoningMessage envelope (Reasoning:\n prefix and
  per-line _italic_ markers) in formatReasoningPrefix before wrapping
  as blockquotes, preventing double-formatted card output
- Remove dead reasoningEnded variable that was set but never read;
  keep onReasoningEnd callback as no-op for interface completeness
- Update tests to send pre-formatted reasoning text matching the real
  formatReasoningMessage output and assert the envelope is stripped

Use ReplyPayload instead of { text: string } so the callback signature
matches the Omit<GetReplyOptions, ...> expected by dispatchReplyFromConfig.

Defer marking the final text as delivered until the streaming card is
successfully closed.  If closeStreaming throws (transient Feishu API
failure), the same final payload can be retried on the next deliver
call without the dedupe guard incorrectly suppressing it.

Hi @Takhoffman @vincentkoc — this PR adds reasoning stream support (onReasoningStream / onReasoningEnd) to the Feishu streaming cards, matching the pattern already used by the Telegram channel.

When /reasoning stream is enabled, thinking tokens are rendered as markdown blockquotes (> 💭 **Thinking**) in the same streaming card with a --- separator before the answer.

All automated review feedback has been addressed (dedup fix, double-formatting fix, dead code removal, type alignment, dedup ordering). The only CI failure is an unrelated flaky Telegram test (message_reaction handler / App is not a constructor) that also fails intermittently on main.

CI Status

20/22 checks passed. The 2 failures are pre-existing upstream flaky tests, unrelated to this PR:

  1. checks (node, extensions) — Telegram App is not a constructor + 429 rate limit errors in extensions/telegram/src/bot.test.ts and send.test.ts
  2. checks-windows (shard 3/6)isolated-agent.skips-delivery-without-whatsapp-recipient Telegram text delivery retry assertion

All Feishu tests pass: 28/28 ✅ (reply-dispatcher.test.ts — 37ms)

The check (typecheck) job also passes cleanly now after the ReplyPayload type alignment fix.

`chat.inject` called `appendAssistantTranscriptMessage` with
`createIfMissing: false`, causing a hard error when the transcript
file did not exist on disk despite having a valid `transcriptPath`
in session metadata. This commonly happens with ACP oneshot/run
sessions where the session entry is created but the transcript file
is not yet materialized.

The fix is a one-character change: `createIfMissing: true`. The
`ensureTranscriptFile` helper already handles directory creation
and file initialization safely.

- Add `listFeishuThreadMessages()` using `container_id_type=thread` API
  to fetch all messages in a thread including bot replies
- In `handleFeishuMessage`, fetch ThreadStarterBody and ThreadHistoryBody
  for topic session modes and pass them to the AI context
- Reuse quoted message result when rootId === parentId to avoid redundant
  API calls; exclude root message from thread history to prevent duplication
- Fall back to inbound ctx.threadId when rootId is absent or API fails
- Fetch newest messages first (ByCreateTimeDesc + reverse) so long threads
  keep the most recent turns instead of the oldest

When an OpenRouter model is not in the built-in static snapshot from
pi-ai, the fallback hardcodes input: ["text"], silently dropping images.

Query the OpenRouter API at runtime to detect actual capabilities
(image support, reasoning, context window) for models not in the
built-in list. Results are cached in memory for 1 hour. On API
failure/timeout, falls back to text-only (no regression).

* feat(openrouter): add disk cache for OpenRouter model capabilities

Persist the OpenRouter model catalog to ~/.openclaw/cache/openrouter-models.json
so it survives process restarts. Cache lookup order:

1. In-memory Map (instant)
2. On-disk JSON file (avoids network on restart)
3. OpenRouter API fetch (populates both layers)

Also triggers a background refresh when a model is not found in the cache,
in case it was newly added to OpenRouter.

serialize independently. waitForCredsSaveQueue() now accepts an optional
authDir to wait on a single account's queue, or waits on all when omitted.
