Summary

Simplify the iOS Control and Talk visual hierarchy: neutral navigation icons, larger supporting text, quieter idle voice visuals, and semantic action colors.

Problem to solve

The current iOS UI uses red, green, and gray across ordinary Control destinations, repeats the app version outside Settings, and gives constructive Talk and consent actions the same red visual language as destructive actions. The idle Talk visualization also leaves animated rings and waveform content behind unrelated status icons. Together these choices make navigation harder to scan and safe actions look risky.

Proposed solution

• Reserve status colors for status and destructive red for stop/reset actions.
• Use the neutral Settings-style icon treatment for Control destinations.
• Raise the smallest shared section/status typography by one Dynamic Type step.
• Keep version details in Settings > About instead of dedicated Control/sidebar blocks.
• Use a solid constructive action color in Talk and the hosted push disclosure.
• Hide the waveform behind non-waveform status icons and remove idle pulse rings.
• Keep a Simulator interaction test proving Overview opens and the app remains foreground.

Alternatives considered

A full app redesign or a new component library would be much larger than the reported problem. The existing shared SwiftUI components and native controls can express the intended hierarchy without new dependencies.

Impact

All iOS users. No gateway, protocol, configuration, or persisted-data changes.
