Summary

openclaw update overrides the working whatsapp plugin with an older version in clawhub. the proper behavior is that update ask to install a plugin if the date of the plugin is older than the current openclaw version

Steps to reproduce

  1. Run openclaw update
  2. openclaw update will install the whatsapp plugin dated 2026.2.09 which will override the bundled whatsapp plugin
  3. whatsapp will fail

Expected behavior

update should either notify the user that the plugin is older than the bundle and require the user to install manually or should ask the user whether the plugin should be installed and default to no.

Actual behavior

openclaw will install the old plugin and whatsapp will fail
