Summary
openclaw tasks audit is reporting a large number of inconsistent_timestamps warnings with:
startedAt is earlier than createdAt
This appears on tasks with multiple outcomes, including:
succeededfailedtimed_out- fresh
running
Because it also shows up on successful and fresh-running tasks, this looks like a task timestamp bookkeeping/audit bug rather than a real "blocked task" condition.
Steps to reproduce
- Run background tasks normally.
- Run:

- Observe
inconsistent_timestamps warnings for tasks in different states, including succeeded.
Notes
- This does not seem tied to only failed tasks.
- The warning appears even for fresh successful tasks.
- The warning may be orthogonal to the actual task result.
- Real task failures still need separate inspection via
openclaw tasks show <full-task-id>.
Expected behavior
I expected task timestamps to be monotonic, and for tasks audit not to warn on healthy successful/fresh-running tasks.
Actual behavior
openclaw tasks audit reports many warnings like:
