Summary
When one model isn't working and I try to run /model to change it, Clawdbot says the model is changed but checking the logs says otherwise.
Steps to reproduce
- Have one model be the default, (I think it has to do with the default model not working but not sure)
- Try changing model with /model
- Send new message and check logs
Expected behavior
What did you expect to happen?
The model to change in the logs
Actual behavior
What actually happened?
The model didn't change in the logs
Environment
- Clawdbot version: 2026.1.10 (src latest as of writing)
- OS: macOS 15.6.2
- Install method (pnpm/npx/docker/etc): git
Logs or screenshots
Paste relevant logs or add screenshots (redact secrets).
My default model is minimax2.1 free on zen which didn't work when I tried to send a message. Then I tried to switch the model in telegram and send another message, and as you can see from the timestamps, the model didn't actually change.
