Summary

Gateway token mismatch after clicking "New Session" then immediately "Stop"

Steps to reproduce

1. Click "New Session" in the webchat UI
2. Immediately click "Stop" before the session finishes loading

Expected behavior

Gateway token remains in sync; connection recovers gracefully.

Actual behavior

Gateway service token becomes out of sync with openclaw.json. Subsequent connections fail with:

run error: Unexpected non-whitespace character after JSON at position 42 (line 1 column 43)

And gateway logs show:

gateway token mismatch (set gateway.remote.token to match gateway.auth.token)
