With IMAP IDLE Clawd could be watching a mailbox and you could send emails to it as well, when a new email comes from your email address, then it would just like from any other chat channel. A response could then be sent in longer form via HTML email via SMTP. This way you could for example forward emails with invoice PDFs to your clawd and it could have a skill to store the invoice in the right place depending on what area of your life it belongs to.
