I am having a hard time tracking this down. It seems something is inconsistent in the way PyPy is handling the pointer, but the test only fails sometimes. pypy/pypy#5247 |

Looks like the problem might be fixed upstream, so let's not rush to put this in. |

I hit this on a wheel building PR so this should hopefully prevent wheels from failing to upload during a release.
