I downloaded the whole Noto font family because of all the different languages that are supported. I wanted to reccomend it to other linguists.

However, the base fonts are missing basic characters that people use, such as →. Written communication includes more than just the alphabet.

Many webfonts have the basic characters everyone uses, some have even more.

Why has there been such an intentional oversight?
