The vows test library has poor ergonomics and is fringe anyway. We should either use the new builtin asserts or something else more robust.

I've been trying to do a giant refactor in lib/config.js and the fact that vows does not summarize failed tests at the bottom of the file is... infuriating. Clearly not designed by anyone who does Red-Green-Refactor or uses the 'watch' function.

We can do better and we deserve not to have to jump through hoops in the middle of a thought-in-progress run to see why the run failed.
