Order folders by date modified

When I update missing tracks and have to pick them manually, I always have to tap through 5 folders and set the sorting for each song I try to update. That becomes annoying when there is 20+ songs to update.
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like the folder view to be sorted by date modified, newest to oldest, by default.
I think it makes sense considering people most likely update their tracks when they upload them to their device, meaning they were modified recently.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Globally remembering the last state of the folder viewer (path opened and sorting) would also be a working solution.
