Agree. I think it a good practice in general since it forces users to do semantic selection.
But the charts have no semantic so we always end-up using the container 👍

It seems that this fixes the issues seen in #20894 browser tests.
The tests are inconsistent when using
document.querySelectorbecause there seems to be instances where different SVGs are on screen.By using
containerwe ensure we are querying the correct containers.If we really don't want to use
containerwe could try usingdata-testidinsteadawait screen.findByTestId('custom-svg-surface-id')
