These patches should fix the Unicode line editing issues in msys bash for most users (see http://groups.google.com/group/msysgit/browse_thread/thread/f365e1c841beef62 ).

Here's the msys.dll and bash.exe binaries for the devel branch.

Oh nice! Hopefully somebody with less serious time constraints can give it a look-over.

Work fine with russian paths

Enable multibyte character on input and output and disable ASCII conversion

Just rebased binaries to v1.8.0, the part in the msys branch is still up to date...

@sschuberth pointed out to me that I closed this request. However, I did not do that explicitly! Probably GitHub thought that deleting some merged branch (or some obsolete one) meant to close this pull request, but I tried to be very careful to delete only branches with my commits, or branches that were fully merged.

Even more unfortunately, I cannot see any button to re-open the pull request! So @kblees could you please undo my mistake by opening another pull request?

Sorry, I just realized what the reason is, and why I cannot re-open the pull request: we did away with 'devel' in favor of 'master' ;-) (see 6bf64a). Could you please open the pull request again, this time against master? Sorry for the trouble!
