in my testing using Voice Over, the behavior that we had in version 1.72 is brought back with this change - wrt output being read and navigation mode working. However, it's still not as expected because output is only announced when it exceeds the maximum size that we allow.
I'm hoping there's just something wrong with my setup and that this will work for others.
I see that the text content of the
aria-liveelement is as expected. Maybe this is a browser issue 🤷🏼♀️fix #172007
