Declarative contribution of custom explorers (based on tree models) #12163
Description
Allowing extensions to contribute a file explorer-like viewlet would enable some interesting features such as:
- Outline views that display symbols from the opened file
- Custom file explorers, for example a file explorer that tightly integrates with source control
- Database explorer
- More cool stuff pulled from people's imaginations
