SharePoint currently supports writing SPFx solutions in order to create Adaptive Card Extensions. Some ISV's and other customers have already built bots and do not want to create an SPFx solution. Therefore we are adding the ability to create Adative Card Extension functionality using the bot framework. We need the SDK to support the new API's so that customers can easily develop solutions.
