What happened?

The whole idea in Meshtastic is to have something for local communication without the need of the internet.
The map in the Android software is breaking this use case. The map is unusable without the internet.

When you for example have a t-deck with meshtastic, you also download the OpenStreetMap data for it. Then you have a fully working device.
This simple and core Meshtastic use case is not possible here.

I download for example the latest firmware-esp32-2.7.1.f35ca81.zip , i have esptool locally ready to flash, i download fdroidRelease-2.6.24.apk . Then i cut in the use case example the internet connection forever. And now i would end up with a never ever working map on any android phone i install the apk onto.

I should also be able to download the map and add it to the Android app to also have that one for offline usage.
