German translation of Steadfast Self-Hosting.
When it comes to L10n and i18n, we get whatever Asciidoctor provides. Here are some notes for future translators.
-
figure out if section references can be customized — currently they use English-style double-quotes
-
asciidoctor/asciidoctor issue #1129: Internationalize (i18n) strings emitted by built-in converters
-
asciidoctor/asciidoctor issue #1658: Support internationalization and localisation
-
asciidoctor/asciidoctor issue #1670: Localization for curved quotes
-
issues in English version, since those apply to translated versions as well
This is a fork of the original English version, and should be maintained as such as long as it is convenient to do so.
This means making structural changes (e.g. build system, dependencies) upstream (in meonkeys/shb) and merging them here.
In short:
-
Make the desired changes upstream.
-
Create or update a branch in your working copy of
meonkeys/shb-dewith its tip at the desired upstream version. -
Merge that branch into
main.
See 2b1f9353 for an example of this.
Some changes will conflict and must be manually resolved/ignored, e.g. Readme.adoc, book/steadfast.asciidoc, and changes to files and folders not present in this fork.
Git tags are used on notable commits. Other tags not listed below are from the forked repository and may be ignored.
