Proposal

There is a spec proposal, highly likely to be accepted, adding the lang attribute to HTML canvas TextStyle. It will need listing in MDN.

The spec PR adding the lang attribute also clears up some ambiguity about how directon = "inherit" works for offscreen content. The documentation for that should be checked and updated if necessary.

I'm happy to do the work for this one.

Browser support

Support in Chromium will land as soon as the spec PR lands. It's being prototyped. Work is going into a WebKit implementation. The MDN content will not be updated until the feature has shipped.
