Puzzles computer’s First Move Plays Too Fast and Does Not Show Which Piece Was Taken #2428

Description

What is the problem?

When solving puzzles on the Android app, the computer's first move is played automatically. If this move involves capturing a piece, the capture animation is extremely fast. As a result, it is very difficult (sometimes impossible) to visually identify which piece was taken.

Additionally, there is no button or option to show/replay the fimove, so I cannot inspect what happened. This makes some puzzles confusing or misleading, since the initial state after the computer’s move is unclear.

Actual Behavior

The capture animation is extremely fast

The captured piece is often not identifiable

No UI option exists to reveal or replay the first move

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Open the Android app

  2. Start any Puzzle

  3. Wait for the computer to play its automatic first move

  4. If it is a capture, observe that:

The animation is too fast to identify the captured piece

There is no way to replay or highlight the move

Expected Behavior

The app should provide a “Show Last Move” or move highlight/replay option in Puzzle mode.

Alternatively, the initial computer move could be shown with a slower animation or with highlighted squares to clearly indicate the move and any captured piece.
