kVARon: Power Systems Technology

Tools for power systems engineering, grid visualization, and energy infrastructure.

kvaron.com

What We Build

kVARon develops software for power systems analysis, operational visualization, and grid security. Our work is grounded in decades of building critical infrastructure systems: real-time operational displays, energy market platforms, and the enterprise architecture underneath them.

Power Systems Solvers

A production-grade C# solver library covering power flow (Newton-Raphson, Fast Decoupled, HELM, DC), optimal dispatch (DC/AC/LPAC/PTDF OPF, unit commitment), and grid analysis (N-1 contingency, LMP pricing, short circuit, state estimation). Built on CSparse.NET and HiGHS with SIMD acceleration and multi-core parallelism.

Open Source

  • Enhanced Grid Panel: Advanced data table for Grafana with conditional formatting, cell highlighting, server-side operations, and rich data presentation. Built for operational dashboards where data density and readability matter.

Domain Expertise

Area Details
Operational Viz Real-time dashboards, Grafana ecosystems, SCADA/EMS integration
Timeseries Data PI/AF, openHistorian, influxDb, TimescaleDB, Prometheus
Power Systems Load flow, OPF, contingency analysis, state estimation, market simulation
Grid Security NERC CIP compliance, cybersecurity frameworks, DevSecOps for critical infrastructure
Standards IEEE 2664-2024 (STTP) contributor: secure time-series data transmission
Infrastructure Kubernetes, hardened containers, CI/CD for regulated environments
