First step - we have a telegram parser , and they go in here for now. Clearly they will graduate to a better system but at least we are on 😃

I would recommend adding official Chinese Government Announcements like Ministry of Information and Technology to the TECH variant and the Ministry of Commerce announcements for trade. |

This is an amazing resource, thank you so much for making it! I was wondering if we could get a little more fidelity for the protests part on the map. When it lists the protests, can it bring up whatever links or information GDELT has on it? Or is that not how their database works? Thank you again! |

phenomenal app, really enjoying it. has anyone been able to get the API for military flight overlay to work on the map? same for ships as well? seeming to have an issue on my end getting it to work. |

It works well, you just need to give it time, it will enumerate a lot before displaying, as it streams the data |

Just a recommendation to add setting option like 'to mute notification popup'. and pop or flash light in map when there is a new alert/news in the region. I will continue to utilize the app and share my inputs. More importantly thank you for being open of recommendations and initiating this discussion. |

Do you have a 3d globe switch or just the flat map? Love what you did. I asked Gemini if I could load fork on Lovable.dev and it said front end wise it will be fine but on the backend : "When you "import" this into Lovable, the map and UI will load, but the data (news, AI briefs, etc.) will likely show errors or be empty because Lovable doesn't automatically host or run the code in the /api folder." But is that just an API key thing and Id have to get my own? |

But recently, there's a new, similar platfrom appearing on my Google search
results when i seearch for World Monitor,

At first i thought there's been an update to the (original) world monitor,
upon digging in a bit, i realized, it's a completely, different tool,
trying to do the same thing. (obv. copying it, and drastically failing at
it).
Just something i wanted to share with my fellow WM-Peer Users.
Let's avoid this tool, as much as possible.

hi there so i am absolutely loving worldmonitor, so much so id prefer to use a locally installed app. only problem is, the windows exe. just says unavailable in red for the majority of boxes. world news , US, Europe, Middle east, pretty much every box except the top 5 are red unavailable and empty. and obviously on browser they are all working. anyway to fix it? Hello everyone — I’m Khalilur Rahman Ridoy Khan, a software engineer, data analyst, and data scientist working with public-health reporting, malaria surveillance, GIS workflows, and field data-collection systems. My experience includes TypeScript and full-stack development, data visualization, DHIS2-style aggregate reporting, and geospatial platforms. I’m interested in contributing to World Monitor through data-source integrations, map layers, provenance and data-quality improvements, testing, and documentation.
