The current drag-and-drop sorting behavior starts dragging as soon as the mouse is held down, and some dashed lines appear only when the item moves away from its original position.
This can lead to accidental operations when a user clicks a file and their mouse moves slightly.
At the same time, because the dashed lines appear only after leaving the initial position, the visual feedback at the start of the drag is not ideal.

I’m not a UI expert, but I think Apple’s design could be a useful reference: you click on a file, and after a short delay, it directly enters the drag state and shows the dashed outline.Or follow OneNote’s approach, where the cursor changes from a pointer to a crosshair drag cursor while moving.
