That is, use the arbitrary but carefully chosen number 42 for "dark" colors and 242 for "light" colors.

This resolves a "flat top"-issue when analyzing the Magic Kernel Sharp 2013 algorithm, see:

That is, use the arbitrary but carefully chosen number 42 for "dark"
