I think generally if someone is getting jquery via bower, they will just want the final jquery.js or jquery.min.js, so there's no reason to give them an extra meg of separate files.

Except for the people who do want the files. Then they will send another pull request to add them, and we'll need to re-tag all our releases again. See gh-1526.
