About me

Welcome. I am Johann N. Löfflmann from Munich, Germany. When I was a child I got my first computer, a C64, used. My first PC was an ultra expensive brandnew i386DX with 2 MiB of RAM (SIPP-modules!) and an 80 MiB HDD running MS-DOS. Well, today you won't even find an USB thumb drive of that size. I have an university degree in computer science. I worked for both Sun Microsystems and Oracle as a tech engineer, and Java was my daily business for many years. Today I am working as a presales consultant for tailored IoT projects, as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), and a team lead. Once a developer, always a developer. For 20+ years, I have enjoyed writing FLOSS code. Robust, modern, shiny code. Well, at least sometimes 😉

Jacksum

Jacksum (JAva ChecKSUM) is a free, open source, cross-platform, feature-rich, multi-threaded data integrity verification tool on the command line. It is also a lib, and it is all about checksums, CRCs, and message digests (aka hashes, data/file fingerprints, thumbprints).
