Is there a way to do an unlimited number of watchers?

I guess I'd like to do this

echo 0 > /proc/sys/fs/inotify/max_user_watches

I'm looking to use this in a growing environment and I don't want to have the number of new files all of sudden over time grow past my set max and not know about it till things lose sync.
