Hey man, I wanted to chat about something that I'm guessing has came up before, at least thought about, and I'm sure the current behavior is for a reason.
Where currently I believe ctrl+return says "insert a new section beneath this section", full stop.
But something I've evidently subconsciously tried to many times is, having ctrl+return split the existing section, text before the cursor remains, text after goes into the new section (appended after current, as usual)
I wonder if this would be too strange as a default. But I would certainly love to opt-in.
