If you are not sure if you need tests, consider this rule of thumb: the purpose of a test is to make sure someone doesn't accidentally revert the fix. Ask yourself, is there anything in your PR that you feel it is important we not accidentally revert back to how it was before your fix?

Sure, I added a test, let me know if it is invalid, writing test for tools for the first time

The code LGTM. It looks like you have an analysis failure from trailing whitespace. The Windows failures were transitory (there was a tree-wide outage), so pushing the whitespace fix should re-trigger and they should pass.
