codecvt's wstring_convert is deprecated in C++17, with no standard-based replacement. The suggested migration path in the warning message is MultiByteToWideChar/WideCharToMultiByte. It's an uglier API, but if nothing else standards-based is introduced by the time we actually have to stop using it, that will presumably be our best option.
