### Steps to reproduce

1. Run the sample app
2. Open the menu
3. Choose `Load Flutter Asset`

### Expected results

The asset should load just as the option `Load local file` does (since it is the same file).

On the iOS simulator the sample app works just fine.

### Actual results

Nothing - the loading aborts with the `PlatformException`.

From native code the asset file is accessible via the `NSBundle` on iOS but on macOS it is not accessible.

I personally think #135302 is the reason for this behavior.
