Stopping iOS simulator app with q during run does not stop the app #113580

Choosing q on an iOS simulator exits the flutter command but does not exit the app running on the simulator
Flutter run key commands.
r Hot reload. 🔥🔥🔥

q Quit (terminate the application on the device).
I thought there was an open issue for this but I can't find it now, only an ancient closed one #2888
