Android SystemChrome not going away if app is left by a swipe up from the bottom #110867

Description

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Run the default app on an Android device using SystemUiMode.leanBack
  2. Swipe up from the bottom to leave the app
  3. Return to the app and the system chrome will not go away

Expected results: System chrome goes away on a return to the app

Actual results: System chrome was overlaid on top of the app

Code sample
void main() {
  WidgetsFlutterBinding.ensureInitialized();

  SystemChrome.setEnabledSystemUIMode(SystemUiMode.leanBack);

  SystemChrome.setSystemUIChangeCallback((systemOverlaysAreVisible) async {
    SystemChrome.restoreSystemUIOverlays();
  });

  runApp(const MyApp());
}

Attached is a video where I leave the app first by using the home button and back button which both hide the system chrome upon return. Then I leave the app by swiping up from the bottom, and it doesn't.

Update: Just downgraded to 2.10.5 and the issue does not seem to happen on that version.
