I am planning to add an "examples" section, where each will go over creation of a simplified, proof of concept extension. A few that I'm planning right now:

• Adding a field to the User model
• Some basic example with a new model, where model instances can be added via the UI, and are all displayed on a page
• Creating language packs (link to weblate, talk about dayjs config)

I am very open to ideas of other things that need to be included.
