Senior Product Engineer at Prolific, based in Aveiro, Portugal. I ship full products from database to UI.
I'm self-taught. In October 2018 I started teaching myself JavaScript before work, fell in love with it, and in January 2019 I quit my job to go all in. Six months later I landed my first engineering role at Mindera in the UK, where I grew into a full-stack developer — most notably building the e-commerce platform for Dunelm. In December 2021 I joined Prolific as a Frontend Engineer, and was promoted to Senior Product Engineer in September 2023.
At work I build with Python, Django, Vue, and TypeScript. But my heart is in the React and Node ecosystem — TypeScript, Tailwind, Hono, tRPC, and Postgres are what I reach for when I'm building for myself. I run Zerosum, a zero-based budgeting SaaS, on the side.
