Proxy Cache Purge sends a PURGE request to the URL of a page or post every time it is modified. This occurs when editing, publishing, commenting or deleting an item, and when changing themes.

The plugin is, intentionally, simple. It simply runs.

Currently, this plugin has been tested on:

  • NGINX cache
  • Varnish 3.x and 6.x
  • Varnish with NGINX as a TLS terminator
  • Varnish with Hitch as a TLS terminator
  • All of the above with CloudFlare

For a quick tutorial, check out Accelerate WordPress with Varnish Cache.
