Leon Lu (Shanghai Wicresoft Co,.Ltd.) answered the question and suggested that I should report the issue to the MAUI GitHub.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Build Debug version the project for an iOS simulator.
2. Set a breakpoint at line 28 of MainPage.xaml.cs
3. Run the project.
4. When the breakpoint is hit, clear the Output window.
5. Continue execution. You will see an "Invalid color" error in the Output window like the one seen under Relevant log output.
