Description
I‘d like to release v15 soon. Given that the changes over the last weeks are pretty spare, I think we can skip the usual week of freeze and continue immediately to releasing v15.0.0. Thoughts?

As the title suggests, I‘m also interested in performing a major change to this project. I‘ve been able to get used to my new working life and I‘m also writing a lot of Rust lately at work. Similar to what
fishdid, I‘d also like start rewriting DMS in Rust. I‘ve been pondering the idea lately quite often and I think this would attract more developers again: similar to how C++ was bad for fish when it comes to community, Bash hurts us too IMO in terms of community support. Moreover, Rust is a lot of fun too, which seems to have become an underappreciated aspect of FOSS projects nowadays.
