Some parameters of plot are incompatible with plot_inset while it feels like plot_inset should support all of these, and just add parameters related to the insets.
For instance the following parameters are present in plot but not in plot_inset:

• save_dir
• tight
• max_imgs
• rescale_mode
• suptitle
